I got my school picture today.
I’ve been getting a school picture every year for the past 12 years as a teacher, and this year something hit me differently.
I loved the picture.
And that might sound like a tiny thing, but for me, it isn’t.
Because I remember what it felt like to look at pictures of myself before my GLP1 journey. I remember wanting to crumble them up, throw them away, and burn them. I didn’t want to see them, and I definitely didn’t want anyone else to see them.
So realizing that I can look at a picture of myself now and actually like what I see?
That’s a win I don’t think I knew to hope for.
In today’s free Friday episode, I’m talking about what my weight loss journey has actually given me beyond the number on the scale, why GLP1 changed my life, and the philosophy behind everything I’m building with Girl Code Daily.
Because weight loss is part of the journey.
It just isn’t the whole journey.
We talk about:
The emotional difference between seeing old pictures of myself and seeing myself now
Why GLP1 changed so much more than my weight
The space GLP1 gave me back in my brain
Why I don’t believe your life should be put on hold until you reach your goal weight
Why real-life weight loss has to include fast food, pizza, exhaustion, kids, work, stress, and imperfect days
Why I believe GLP1 is the tool, but YOU are the plan
What Girl Code Daily actually is and why I created it
Why showing up matters more than being perfect
Learning to take care of yourself inside the life you actually have
And the unexpected emotional win of simply liking a picture of yourself
Girl Code Daily is $5.99/month or $40/year.
