Not because they are particularly difficult. Not because they require a dramatic amount of effort. Sometimes they are actually annoyingly simple, which almost makes the resistance worse. You know what the thing is. You know how to do it. You may even already be paying for the tool that would help you do it.

And yet.

You do not want to.

That is where I am with tracking my food this week.

I am still paying for WeightWatchers. I have the app. I know how to use it. The entire system is sitting right there, patiently waiting for me to open it and tell it what I ate.

I think I am eating enough protein.

I think I have a pretty good handle on my portions.

I think I know where my food is landing throughout the day.

And maybe I do.

But right now, I would rather have information than assumptions.

That is really what this week is about. Not putting myself on trial. Not trying to eat as little as possible. Not proving that I have been “good.” I just want to know what is actually happening.

I Am Very Good at Thinking I Know
