Last week, I reluctantly started tracking my food again.
I was not excited about it. In fact, I pretty much entered the week with a giant internal “ugh, fine” attached to the whole thing.
But something unexpected happened.
I liked it.
Not in a “tracking my food is my new favorite hobby” kind of way. Let’s not get crazy. But I liked having a record of what I was eating. I liked being able to look back instead of trying to remember what I had eaten throughout the day. And most importantly, I liked that it gave me information without requiring me to make every meal into a complicated decision.
Sometimes you don’t need to find the perfect way to do something. You just need to find a way that you actually like enough to keep doing.
