Sunday night I was hungry in a way that didn’t make any sense.
Not a little snacky. Over hungry. The kind where you’ve eaten, you’re full, and you’re still standing at the pantry like the answer is hiding behind the crackers. I ate my way through most of the day and I honestly can’t tell you why.
And here’s the annoying part. Last week went well. We stuck to the plan. One pizza night, no fast food runs, the whole thing. So Sunday felt a little like the week reached over and messed up my hair right before the picture.
That’s where this week’s focus came from.
This week’s focus: stick to the menu
My week of meals is planned. I made it with my Picky Girl’s Guide, copied it into the notes app on my phone, and added it to my calendar so it’s right there every day. Pizza is on there one night. That’s the only takeout.
The food isn’t the hard part. I picked foods I actually like.
I’m not worried I’ll skip what’s on the menu. I’m worried I’ll eat what’s on the menu, and then keep going.
I’m not scared of the plan. I’m scared of the “just a little more” after the plan.
If you’ve ever had a perfectly good dinner and then grazed until bed, you know exactly what I mean.
Before anything else, I need your help with November
Our October step challenge is still going strong, and I’m already thinking about what comes next. I want November’s challenge to be something we pick together, not something I just hand you.
So tell me: what do you want to focus on in November? Drop your ideas in the comments or in Chat. I’ll pull the favorites into a poll and we’ll vote as a group.
This is honestly my favorite part of Girl Code Daily. The challenges are ours.
Inside this thread
What sticking to the menu actually looks like for me. The small, realistic version, not the Pinterest one.
The messy-day plan. What I’m doing when I eat past the menu, because I probably will at least once.
A Sunday night win that has nothing to do with food.
Your turn. Everyone names their one focus for the week, and we check on each other Wednesday.
