Okay besties, we’re doing another challenge.
And this one is ridiculously simple.
For the entire month of October, we’re going to focus on getting more steps. Not necessarily 10,000. Not some arbitrary number that makes you feel like you failed because you ended the day at 7,842.
Just more.
More than you were getting before. More movement. More walks. More reasons to get up from your desk. More laps around the house while you’re on the phone. More parking farther away. More taking the stairs when you can.
Because sometimes we make movement WAY more complicated than it needs to be.
So how is this actually going to work?
Every day throughout October, I’ll post in our challenge chat.
That is where we’re going to check in, share our steps, encourage each other, complain about our sore feet, celebrate our wins, and keep each other accountable.
You can pop in throughout the day and tell us where you’re at.
2,000 steps? Tell us.
5,000 steps? Tell us.
8,000 steps and your watch is basically begging you to sit down? TELL US.
And if you completely forgot about your steps until 9:47 PM?
Well... welcome to the club.
The point is that you have a group of people doing it with you.
You don’t have to figure it out by yourself.
And NO, you do not need to hit 10K.
I really want to emphasize this because I don’t want October to become another month where we give ourselves a giant goal, miss it a few times, and decide we’re terrible at consistency.
This challenge is about increasing your movement, not proving that you can walk 10,000 steps every single day.
Maybe your normal is 3,000.
Let’s see what happens when you start averaging 4,000.
Maybe you’re already around 6,000.
Let’s see if you can get yourself closer to 7,000 or 8,000.
Maybe you’re already hitting 10K.
Amazing. Keep going.
Your goal is YOUR goal.
We’re just going to spend October paying attention to it.
And this is only the beginning.
I’m planning on doing a new challenge every single month from here on out.
Which means if you’ve been looking for a group of people who actually want to DO THIS TOGETHER, this is it.
Not a challenge where you disappear into an app and never hear from anyone.
Not a challenge where you feel guilty because you missed Tuesday.
Not a challenge where everyone is pretending their life is perfectly organized.
A group. Accountability. A little friendly pressure. And a whole lot of celebrating the fact that we’re actually showing up.
And yes, everyone is welcome. If you’re part of Girl Code Daily, you’re part of the challenge. Men, women, whoever you are. If you want to move more and have some people keeping you accountable, come join us.
And the price is pretty simple.
You can join October’s challenge for $5.99, because that’s all it costs to join Girl Code Daily for the month.
Or, if you already know you want to be here for all of this, you can grab the $40 annual membership and you’re in for the entire year of challenges, community, and everything else we’re building inside Girl Code Daily.
So... are you in?
Because I have a feeling October is going to be really freaking fun.
And I want to know what you want to do next.
What challenges do you want to see inside Girl Code Daily?
Movement?
Nutrition?
Water?
Sleep?
Decluttering?
Self-care?
Saving money?
Consistency?
Something completely unhinged that I haven’t even thought of yet?
Tell me what you want to do together.
October is just the beginning.
see you inside »

p.s. if you are already a paid member, you are already in. :)
