Something Is Coming. And I Think It Is The Thing You Have Been Looking For.
The Missing Piece is almost here. Here is what it is, what is inside, and why July 1st is the date you need to know.
hiiii babe.
I have been building something. & in my normal fashion, I have changed my mind about what I am building approximately 847 times.
First it was going to be an ebook. Then a course. Then a workbook. Then a membership perk. Then I was fully convinced I should just burn the whole thing down because clearly, if I could not decide what it was, maybe it was not supposed to exist at all.
But that’s cute.
Because the real problem was not that I could not make a decision. The problem was that I kept trying to shove this thing into boxes that were too small for it.
Every time I thought I had finally figured it out, I would sit down to actually work on it and immediately feel like something was off. Like I was trying to force the wrong shape.
Which is ironic. Because if there is one thing this entire GLP-1 journey has taught me it is that forcing things is almost never the answer.
You would think I would have learned that by now.
Apparently not.
the version of me who was sitting on the bathroom floor
Here is the realization I had this week.
I do not think I am building a digital product.
I think I am building the guide I wish someone had handed me.
The version of me who was sitting on her bathroom floor convinced she was the problem.
The version of me who genuinely believed that everyone else had been handed some magical ability to stay consistent that she had somehow missed. Who thought that if she just had more discipline, more willpower, more motivation, she could finally get her act together.
I thought I needed to try harder. I thought I needed to care more. I thought I needed to stop starting over every Monday.
Oh no. We are not doing that anymore.
Because I know now that struggling is not evidence that something is wrong with you. Sometimes it is evidence that you have been carrying too much for too long. Sometimes it is evidence that your life is asking more from you than you can sustainably give. Sometimes it is evidence that you are trying to build habits on top of stress and sleep deprivation and emotional labor and decision fatigue and hormones and grief and caregiving and work and motherhood and the thousand invisible responsibilities that nobody sees.
And then blaming yourself when you cannot execute a perfect morning routine.
but first. let me teach you something.
Before I tell you everything that is coming I want to give you something real right now.
Your fat cells have their own clocks.
I know how that sounds. Stay with me.
Every cell in your body contains a biological clock. Not a metaphorical one. A literal molecular timekeeping mechanism that keeps track of the time of day and adjusts how that cell behaves accordingly.
Your fat cells have these clocks too.
And here is the part that stopped me cold when I read it in my certification coursework this summer.
The same calories eaten at different times of day result in different amounts stored as fat versus burned as fuel.
Read that again.
Same food. Same amount. Different time. Different outcome in your body.
This is called chrononutrition. The science of when you eat, not just what you eat, and how it interacts with the circadian rhythm running inside every single one of your cells simultaneously.
Your fat cells are not passive storage tanks waiting to be filled or emptied based on how many calories came in. They are active, time-aware biological tissue that responds to the time of day, to light and darkness, to when you last ate, and to the rhythm your body has been trained to expect.
When you eat in alignment with your circadian rhythm your body is primed to burn fuel efficiently. Digestion is optimized. Hormones are cooperating. Your metabolism is in its active phase and ready to work with what you just gave it.
When you eat late at night your fat cells are in a completely different biological state. They are supposed to be in rest mode. The enzymes that process and store fat are more active at night. The hormones that signal fullness are less responsive. Your body is biologically less equipped to handle incoming fuel and more likely to store it.
This is not a willpower problem. This is not a calorie problem. This is a timing problem.
And it explains something you might have been experiencing without any framework for understanding.
You ate the same thing you always eat. You did not go over your calories. But you ate it at 9pm instead of 6pm and the next morning the scale was up and you could not figure out why.
Your fat cells knew what time it was even when you forgot to factor that in.
And late night eating does not just affect how your fat cells respond in the moment. It raises cortisol. Elevated cortisol deposits fat specifically around your midsection. That belly fat increases insulin resistance. And insulin resistance makes your GLP-1 medication work harder for the same results.
One pattern. All of that downstream.
Not because you are doing something wrong. Because nobody explained the mechanism.
And this is exactly why I built what I built.
what The Missing Piece actually is
The weight loss industry gave you two legs of a three legged stool and called it a plan.
Nutrition. Movement. Done.
Meanwhile the third leg has been sitting there the whole time, uninstalled, explaining everything that has not been adding up.
Sleep. Stress. Recovery.
The Missing Piece is a full interactive digital guide and workbook that walks you through everything that has been left out of the equation. Not the calories. Not the macros. Not the medication dosing schedule. The third variable. The thing that has been quietly running the show this whole time.
Here is what is inside.
Part One: Understanding What Nobody Explained.
The Allostatic Load. The six types of stress filling your tank simultaneously. The Crap Zone, that place where you are never fully on and never fully off, just exhausted and wired at the same time. The Invisible Phase and why it is actually the freeze response your nervous system has been running because it has been pushed too hard for too long without enough recovery.
This section alone is going to reframe everything you thought you knew about why this has been so hard.
Part Two: Your Stress Audit.
Not generic stress. Your stress. A real audit of what is filling your tank right now, where the heaviest load is sitting, and what is actually in your control. We cover Deep Health across all six dimensions. Bright Spots, because you are already doing things that are working and most people never stop to notice. Emotional labor and what it is actually costing your body biologically. And the research on community as a biological stress buffer, the science showing that being surrounded by people who genuinely get your experience lowers your cortisol. Measured in bloodwork. Not a metaphor.
Part Three: Your Sleep Reality.
Not sleep hygiene tips. The actual science of what is happening in your body while you sleep and what gets cut short when you do not get enough. The cortisol circadian rhythm and what a flattened curve feels like from the inside. Why your fat cells are on a clock and what that means for when you eat. Why the 3am wake-up has a specific biological explanation that has nothing to do with anxiety. Why insomnia is an emotion not an inability to sleep, and what to actually do about it.
Part Four: What To Actually Do.
No 47-step overhaul. No full personality transplant. The one thing principle applied to your real life. A menu of five minute actions you can start today. Recovery tools that work even when motivation is nowhere to be found. Environmental design that makes the right thing easier without requiring willpower.
Part Five: Becoming.
This is the part nobody includes and I think it might be the most important one. Who are you becoming through this process? What happens to your identity when the body changes faster than your sense of self can catch up? What does the woman on the other side of the Invisible Phase actually look like and how do you start becoming her before you can see her in the mirror?
Part Six: Troubleshooting.
Because real life does not follow a clean path. This is your living resource for the moments when you are doing everything right and something still feels off.
+ Plus bonuses I am not fully revealing yet because I want you to open it and feel something.
how this connects to everything here on Substack
The Missing Piece is the framework. The map. The thing you read, work through, and come back to.
But the Substack is where the conversation lives.
Every single section of The Missing Piece has a corresponding deep dive post here. Where I go further than any workbook can go because a workbook cannot respond to you. Where you can ask questions and share what landed and tell me where you got stuck. Where the community of women who are in it with you shows up and makes the science feel less lonely.
The website gives you the structure. The Substack gives you the conversation. The community gives you the biology. Together they are the whole thing.
And here is what I want to be really clear about.
Paid subscribers get The Missing Piece included in their membership. Not as an add-on. Not as an extra purchase. Included. Because you showed up before this was fully built and that deserves to be honored.
The standalone price for The Missing Piece will be $47 (at launch, it could go up as women share it, leave feedback, and I have more social proof that this matters).
the thing I need to tell you before July 1st
Right now paid membership is $3 a month.
On July 1st that changes.
I am not manufacturing urgency or being dramatic about it. The price is going up because what is being built here is genuinely worth more than $3 a month and the price needs to start reflecting that. The daily posts. The deep dives. The Body Decoded series where I break down the science through lived experience. The Sleep Stress and Recovery series from my certification. The Slow Parts fiction. The community. And now The Missing Piece included in your membership.
If you are already paid, nothing changes. Your price is locked forever. That is the deal and I am keeping it.
If you have been on the fence, this is me telling you with enough time to actually decide. July 1st is the date. Before that, $3 a month gets you everything. Including The Missing Piece when it drops.
After July 1st, new members pay more.
You do not have to earn being here. You just have to show up.
one more thing
I built The Missing Piece because I could not find it when I needed it.
When I was the woman sitting on the bathroom floor convinced she was the problem.
Nothing was wrong with me.
My fat cells were on a clock I did not know about. My tank was too full. My nervous system was in freeze. My sleep was being sabotaged by things I had never connected to my results.
Nobody handed me that framework.
I had to find it piece by piece over three years and one certification and more 2am spirals than I can count.
You should not have to do that.
That is the whole point.
The Missing Piece is almost ready.
Get in before July 1st. Get it included. And let’s finally talk about the thing nobody explained.
Slow still counts. We stay.
hiiii babe. Something really good is coming.
Nyk
Paid membership is $3 a month until July 1st. After that the price increases for new members. Your price is locked forever once you are in.
