I did not realize there was a name for this. I'm down about 35 pounds and I am feeling much better, but yes, this. I actually thought I was losing it a few days ago. Maybe a breakthrough, maybe a hallucination. I wasn't looking directly into the mirror, but I caught my own attention out of the corner of my eye. For a split second, I saw a glimpse of the old happy me before he disappeared. Maybe I just want to believe that's what happened, but I like the thought of it. It let me know he's still there, even if I can't always see him.
I am 45 lbs lighter than I am from my heaviest but I can’t help but see the same person I. The mirror that I saw when I was 280-275! Like when I take selfies I feel good but then any other shots that I take or someone else’s takes is like oh boy I still see that big version! I only see a difference when I compare side by side! Of then vs now
This one hits hard for me because it's something I deal with. I actually feel like my mind has gone backwards because as I was losing the weight I felt amazing, I saw the progress, and I still do but the longer I am stuck the harder it becomes to see the difference in the mirror, or even in videos. This is real af, and I know this because I am living it.
