Monday’s thread was quiet this week.
My first thought wasn’t “nobody cares.” It was oh, everybody’s week got loud. Dose changes, appointments, work, kids, whatever October is doing to all of us. That’s real life, and real life does not check the posting schedule.
So here’s the whole point of today:
If you didn’t show up Monday, you can show up today.
No makeup assignment. I’m not taking points off. You don’t have to explain where you were. You just comment and you’re back in.

What you picked on Monday
The focus that kept coming up this week was water. One of you is in the thick of a dose change, body out of sorts, hunger cues loud, scale doing its own thing, and decided water is the one thing to hold onto while it settles. Another got a bigger bottle for work, which helps, but knows that if it doesn’t happen during the workday, there’s not enough evening left to catch up.
Two completely different weeks. Both landed on water.
I love that, honestly. Water is the least glamorous focus there is. Nobody posts a before and after of their hydration. But it’s the thing you can control when everything else feels off.
And if you’re in a dose change right now, a body that feels like a stranger is not a verdict on you or on whether you’re doing this right. Anything about the dose itself is a conversation with your prescriber.
The takeaway: stop trying to catch up at night
One of you named the trap perfectly. If the water doesn’t happen during the day, the evening is supposed to save you. But the evening is the shortest window you have, and it’s already full of dinner, kids, and that cutoff time.
So instead of catching up, try three anchors. Attach water to three moments that already happen no matter what.
Before you leave the house. One full glass before you grab your keys. Not on the drive. Before.
The middle of your workday. Tie it to something that already exists: lunch, a planning period, the 2pm slump.
The minute you walk in the door. Before you change clothes, before dinner, before the couch. Not at 8pm.
Hit three anchors and the night stops being a rescue mission.
That’s it. Not a gallon challenge. Three moments.
