Your article touched me deeply. I “started over” through WW at 10, through bariatric surgery at 22, through Phen-fen in my 30’s, roux-en-y at 42, and a GLP-1 at 68. It felt like I was fighting for my survival, for relevance. A GLP-1 is the first time I have truly felt “hope” without panic.

Gayle! I was reading your comment and had to look to make sure it wasn’t a comment I had written and forgot about!

Speed at 10, WW at 12, Fen-Phen when I was 35, Roux-en-Y at 40, and GLP-1s at 61 (I am now 65).

How wild we are so similar! Same trajectory. Nice to “meet” you!
