I really enjoy the community that is being built here. I don't always have the capacity to respond with words to people's comments, but I do read all of them. I like muddling through with ordinary people.
Awesome! I always tell critics that we know what to do, I'm not stupid, or if it was easy I wouldn't be fat. I love the support we get here! One thing I am proud of. I didn't let my weight stop me from most things. I had relationships (mostly bad though!) LOL. I went to college, i even went to a plus size modeling audition, I took to 2 trips to Europe and one to Mexico. I got promotions, I bought a house. One thing I didn't do because of weight was learn to scuba dive. I had a fear of those skin tight suits LOL! But I did snorkel.... I'm sure there were other things but they escape me.
Your scuba comment has me remembering a surfing attempt I made in Bali with my husband years ago. The rash guards and surf shorts provided didn't fit me but I had to wear them for the lesson. And it POURED rain. It is both a terrible memory and a memory I can point to where I stuck something out. I didn't manage to stand, but I had a moment of crouching on the board without my fingertips touching.
