I am still not hitting my protein! I thought it was ideal body weight not current weight lol! Thanks for the refresher

Okay, 142g of protein seems kinda crazy when you are on a 1350 calorie/day plan. Since I started Zep in October I have been great at hitting about 100g every day. Yes, EVERY day. Though it's hard not because I have no appetite (that doesn't really happen to me, that I have a hard time eating on/near shot day), but because you have to fit it in to those calories. While also getting some fat and carbs so my Vitamin D and Omega 3s actually absorb! Jiminy!! (All good...but seriously, I don't think 150g protein a day is realistic. I have already drastically changed my eating habits and track every morsel that goes in to my body).

honestly, I feel the same way you do. it doesn't change what the science says, but that doesn't mean we have to hold ourselves to something we can not reach. I am happy with 100g as well. I am lucky to get 80g. you are doing perfectly. remember 10% is better every day is better than 100% every now and then.

And then on top of this challenge, according to many (including the Weightless author), it's a waste to get more than 30g in at one time. Dr. Salas-Whalen explains that you shouldn't even count grams that are over 30g in one "sitting." So ostensibly you need to find 30g protein 5 times a day....yeah, that's not happening for me. ;) I'll do the best I can.

I’ve heard this before too!! I don’t think people follow that advice but I have heard it and it confuses the hell out of me lol

Great article! I know I don’t get enough protein and these are such practical tips—thank you! I was thrilled to see so many vegetarian options, and the tip sheet is amazing!!

I loved this read! So so helpful and so true I focuse so much in protein and I am still.l not hitting it! Honestly I thought the amount I f protein was based on ideal body weight but maybe that is just for basic weightless not including a GLP1! I definitely need to kick it up a notch I normally get around 100-130 and I should be eating 166! Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, hard boiled eggs and protein shakes are by far the easiest to consume!! It makes absolute sense now that cold food feels better as it takes less effort! I have major beef aversions unfortunately but I still try to force it! If it’s mixed in with something it become that much easier!

Julia!! You are so much closer than you think. 130 to 166 is not a massive leap, especially when you already know your go-tos. Drop the beef, lean into the cottage cheese era!! You are already doing better than me!!

Ya but on a really good day it’s 130 I average probably closer to 110-120
