186.7.
That was my low this week, on Thursday the 29th, and you know my rule: my lowest number is my lowest number. On Wednesday I told you I was hoping to see 186 before the week was over, and I saw it. Last Sunday I was 189 with a wedding ring that wouldn't come off without water, so that's 2.3 pounds down from last week's weigh-in.
I still want to show you this morning's number, too, because I don't only share the good ones. This morning I was 187.7 (yesterday was 187.2), after Halloween and a long weekend. And even on a post-Halloween Sunday, that's still 1.3 pounds lower than last Sunday. Same day of the week, same scale, a whole lot less puffy.
My Monday focus was to follow my plan as close to a T as I could. On the very first school day I walked out the door without my lunch and ended up with Chick-fil-A nuggets, and on Tuesday I went right back to the card. Halloween was on the plan too, candy included. Nothing about this week was perfect, and the scale still moved, which is exactly what I needed to see after admitting last Sunday that staying is my hard part.
I didn't have a perfect week. I just didn't ghost it.
I finally hit 10,000 steps
It took me the entire month of October, and I finally hit 10,000 steps on the 30th and again on the 31st. The very last two days of a whole month-long step challenge. I'm laughing a little at the timing, but I'm also really proud of it, because I spent most of October walking past the walking pad, and I still finished the month doing the thing I set out to do.
You all had a big week
I read every single comment this week, and so many of you were doing exactly what I said I struggle with. One of you hit 50 pounds down and a new low she never thought she'd see again. One of you was down another pound and said the thing I keep thinking about, that she joined because she wants to share the hard weeks and not just the highlight reel. Someone checked in from a family trip, someone made a game plan for a work trip with actual scheduled cake breaks, someone kept showing up through an estate sale and a week of emotional exhaustion, and more of you set up HQ and the Hub this week than any week so far.
The big days showed up for a lot of us this week, and nobody went quiet because of them.
November starts today
No Ghosting November officially kicked off this morning, and the comments in the challenge chat are already rolling in. One check-in a day, every day of November, and a "not today, but I'm here" counts just as much as a great day.
If you're reading this as a free subscriber, the challenge chat is open to you through Tuesday, so jump in and check in with us. On Day 4 it goes back to paid members only.
And honestly, I just have a really good feeling about November. I'm taking Picky Girl HQ into it, I'm taking the Hub into it, and I'm taking all of you into it, and that feels like a much better way to walk into the holidays than promising myself I'll start over in January.
HQ and the Hub just got so much easier to set up
HQ and the Hub are now officially together. There's one page in your perks for both of them now, and I completely redid the course page so it's so much easier to follow. It walks you through setup step by step with a checklist, and every step has a short video, most of them under a minute and a half.
They come with a yearly membership. If you're monthly and want them for the challenge, you can switch to yearly from your account page and grab both from your perks right away.
Quick heads up: my Halloween treat is still going, but not for long. Until 12:30 p.m. Arizona time today, you can get the yearly membership for $40 instead of $49 at read.theglp1girlcode.com/treat. That's HQ, the Hub, and all of No Ghosting November included. After 12:30, it goes back to $49.

Your weigh-in. Drop your number, or don't. Either way, I want to hear about your week.
Why join Girl Code Daily?
No Ghosting November is here. Come do it with us.
Inside Girl Code Daily there's something almost every day: the Sunday Weigh In, Monday Focus, the Wednesday Check In, Friday Wins, a daily challenge check-in all month long, and a chat full of women who notice when you go quiet. Here are a few posts that fit this week, including one from the very beginning of October that says the same thing I'm saying now:
Go yearly and Picky Girl HQ and the Hub both come with it, waiting in your perks the minute you upgrade.
