I can't count how many times I've been consistent for days and then disappeared for one. Not quit, not given up, just gone quiet. One big day, one busy weekend, one night where I stopped paying attention, and suddenly the scale was right back where it started and so was I.
I said it out loud in last Sunday's weigh-in, and I meant it: my problem was never starting. My problem is staying. And if your inbox, your camera roll, and your half-used meal plans are anything like mine, I think it might be yours too.
So that's what we're doing in November.
You don't have to be perfect in November. You just can't disappear.
Also, if you have HQ or the Hub, keep scrolling. They both just got a huge upgrade this week, and it was made for this exact month.
Introducing The No Disappearing Challenge
For all 30 days of November, inside Girl Code Daily, we're checking in. Every single day. Good day, bad day, big day, it doesn't matter. The only way to miss a day is to go quiet.
That's the whole thing. No step goal, no perfect week, no starting over on Monday. Just showing up in the chat once a day, even when the honest answer is "not today."
How it works
Every morning at 6 a.m., I'll post in our new (GCD) Monthly Challenge Chat >>. That's your reminder that today counts, starting tomorrow, Sunday, November 1.
You reply with your check-in. Either "showed up" or "not today, but I'm here," plus one line about your day.
That's it. A "not today" check-in still counts. It honestly might count the most, because that's the exact moment most of us usually disappear.
Showing up on a bad day is the whole challenge. The good days take care of themselves.
You get to decide what "showing up" means for you this month. Water, steps, protein, logging your food, taking your shot on time. Pick one thing and let that be your yes.
Why this one, and why now
November is a hard month to stay consistent. It's busy, it's full of plans, and it ends with Thanksgiving, which is basically the biggest "one day" of the whole year. If there's ever a month where we're tempted to go quiet and promise ourselves we'll restart in January, it's this one.
I don't want to do that this year, and I don't want you to either. I'd rather we walk into the holidays checking in every day than walk out of them pretending November never happened.
Thanksgiving is one day. Checking in that morning is still the challenge.
HQ and the Hub just got their biggest upgrade yet
I’ve been building this all week, and it’s finally live. Picky Girl HQ and the GLP-1 Hub both just got the biggest upgrade since I made them. And honestly? It fits this challenge so perfectly it’s a little ridiculous.
Here’s everything that’s new.
1. Your own Notion Hub. Everything you tell Claude lands in one pretty place: every day you showed up, every win, your weigh-ins, your shots. You never fill it in yourself. You just talk to Claude like normal and it saves it for you. It works on a free Notion account and a free Claude account, and it’s right there on your phone anytime.
2. A showing-up streak that never breaks. HQ counts the days you show up. Miss a day and it doesn’t reset. It doesn’t even bring it up. Which is the entire point of November, right?
3. “I’m having a hard day.” Say it and HQ drops the plans, the tracking, all of it. You get one tiny thing to do. And it still counts as showing up.
4. “Brain dump.” Talk or type your whole messy day at once. HQ sorts it, saves it, and only asks about what’s missing.
5. My Wrapped. At the end of every month you get your month as a story-sized picture: the days you showed up, your best win, the meal you loved most, the win the scale can’t see. It never shows your weight unless you ask it to. (Your November Wrapped is going to be so good.)
6. Milestone cards. Every time you hit a milestone, you get a celebration card made to post. Every 5 pounds gets a party.
7. “Import my weigh-ins.” Send HQ your old weights (a screenshot, a list, even years of them) and it shows you what you’ve lost since starting your GLP-1 and since starting Picky HQ.
For the Hub girls, your GLP-1 side got a glow up too:
Shots log your dose (only what you tell it) and your site.
Weigh-ins do the down or up math for you. Ups show in gray, never red, because ups are normal.
My shot week shows your own pattern after a few weeks of logs, like which days are usually your low hunger days. Never what’s “normal.” Just yours.
Letter to future me: write it in your first weeks, and the Hub hands it back to you one year from the day you wrote it.
Picture day: an optional once-a-month reminder to take progress pictures. They stay on your phone.
Appointment prep fills itself in from your log, so you walk into your doctor visit with everything written down.
Have both? HQ makes your meals smaller and easier on the days you’ve logged low hunger.
Already have HQ or the Hub? Update in 2 minutes
Every upgrade is free for you. Here’s how (works on your phone at claude.ai in your browser):
Grab the new files from your perks menu. HQ and the Hub are two separate perks, so download both. Look for 1030 in the file name.
In Claude, go to Settings, then Capabilities, then Skills.
Delete your old Picky Girl HQ skill and upload the new one. Same for the Hub.
Open your Picky HQ project, start a new chat, and say “what’s new.”
It walks you through everything (skip anything you want) and hands you an updated card to swap into your project. You never redo setup.
Bought HQ on its own instead of through Girl Code Daily? Use the same download link from your purchase email. The new version is already sitting there.
And for the challenge: every 6 a.m. message this month comes with a tip for HQ or the Hub, with the exact words to type. You can paste what they give you right into your check-in.
Don’t have them yet? Read this before Monday
On Monday, November 2, Picky Girl HQ goes from $47 to $57.
Or skip all of that: a yearly Girl Code Daily membership is $49 and includes HQ AND the Hub. That’s less than HQ alone, plus this whole challenge, plus everything I make all year. If you’re monthly, switch to yearly from your account page and both are waiting in your perks menu right away.
Who's in
Days 1, 2, and 3 are open to all of my subscribers, free and paid, so anyone can try it with us. Starting on Day 4, the challenge chat is for paid members, monthly or yearly. You don't need to sign up for anything separately, just look for the (GCD) Monthly Challenge Chat >> in your Substack chats on November 1.
If you're not a member yet, this is a really good month to join. You'll get the daily check-ins, the Sunday Weigh In, Monday Focus, the Wednesday Check In, Friday Wins, a group of women who will absolutely notice if you go quiet (in the nicest way possible), and the two-page challenge printable that goes with all of this, waiting right below.
Why join Girl Code Daily?
The challenge is one month. Showing up is the whole year.
