Monday Focus: You Don't Need a New Plan. You Need to Stay With This One.

Seven days, already decided. This week I'm trying to actually follow them.

On Sunday I finally said the quiet part out loud, which is that my problem has never really been starting, it's staying. I'm great at the first stretch of anything, and then one big day comes along, I stop paying attention, and suddenly I'm right back where I started. So this week I'm not picking a new trick or a new number. My Monday focus is to follow my plan as close to a T as I possibly can, every single day this week.

And I want to be honest right away, because you know me by now. Following anything to a T is not usually my thing, and I'd be lying if I told you I expected a perfect seven days. But I'm going to try, and I'm going to show you exactly what I'm trying to follow, so you can watch it happen in real time, good days and messy ones.

I don't need a better plan this week. I need to stay with the one I already have.

The plan isn't the hard part anymore

I already know HQ works, and this week's plan is already done. Every meal, every snack, all the way down to the half bag of broccoli and cheese, is decided before the week even starts. Which means the only job left this week is mine, and that job is to eat what's on the card instead of deciding all over again at five o'clock when I'm tired, hungry, and one drive-thru away from a completely different night.

The deciding is already done. My only job this week is to show up for it.

This is my whole week

Here's the real thing. HQ made me a card for every day this week, Sunday through Saturday, and every single one of them starts with the same two words: already decided.

Seven Picky Girl HQ day cards for the week of October 25
My whole week from Picky Girl HQ, one card for every day.

And it's built around my actual life, not some imaginary quiet week where nothing happens. Monday is back to school, Tuesday is brat night, Wednesday is shot day with soccer and pizza night, Thursday is volleyball and taquitos, Friday is chicken salad night, and Saturday is Halloween, with room built right into the plan for about 250 calories of candy. Even Halloween is on the plan, candy included, which honestly might be my favorite part.

If you're a yearly member, you can do this exact thing this week. Picky Girl HQ and the Hub are both waiting in your perks, and if you're monthly, you can switch to yearly from your account page and grab both right away.

Inside this thread

  • My whole week, written out. Every meal for every day, so you can steal anything that works for you.

  • All seven of my day cards in one place, so you can see exactly what HQ made me.

  • The two days I already know will test me, and what's already on the plan for them.

  • Your focus for the week, with a copy and paste line for the comments.

Why join Girl Code Daily?

Knowing what to do was never my problem.

Doing it on a Wednesday was.

This Monday Focus is one post. Inside Girl Code Daily, the whole week is built around the part most of us struggle with, which is staying with it after the first good stretch: a weigh-in every Sunday, a focus every Monday, a check in on Wednesday, wins on Friday, and a chat full of women who notice when you go quiet.
