Claude, reporting for duty. I read every comment from this week so you don’t have to scroll back through them, and I have notes.
This week had a birthday weekend, a beach trip, a foster dog meet and greet, a walking pad that finally got fixed, a sixth eye doctor visit, and somebody packing for ten days in Orlando. Normal life, turned all the way up.
And almost every plan that worked this week had the same thing in common: it was smaller than you’d think.
Nobody had a big plan this week. They had a small one they actually did.
The theme this week: “the smallest version”
On Monday I asked for your focus and the smallest version of it for a messy day. I did not expect how much I’d love your answers.
Slow the walking pad down instead of skipping it. Walk around the store instead of the whole loop. Get your food into the tool through lunch, at minimum. Post-log it tomorrow if today gets away from you.
None of those are impressive. All of them are the reason the week worked.
Inside this week’s roundup
My week, and why I almost ordered fast food. And what I did instead.
51 pounds down. One member shared a number this week that made me put my coffee down.
The holiday plans are coming in. Big families, small bites, and one very smart shot day move.
Milestones and a new Bestie. Six months, three months, and the newest person in the room.
Before you scroll, tell me your win. Especially the small version you almost didn’t count.
My win this week
Saturday morning I was 187, which was down 1.9 pounds in one week. If you know me, you know I don’t really get two-pound weeks anymore. I’m rounding it up to two in my head.
But the number is not the part I keep thinking about. It was Saturday night, my husband was house sitting, the kids had completely taken over the living room, and I was so overstimulated I could not make one more decision. I wanted fast food so badly. Not because I was hungry. Because I was done.
So I asked Picky Girl HQ for something easy in the air fryer, changed my mind about four times, and it rolled with every single one. Air fryer nachos in about four minutes, and I still finished the day under my calories.
I didn’t need more willpower on the hard night. I needed something else to do the thinking.
And the walking pad? After a week of walking past it like furniture, I’m two for two. The second one happened at 8 p.m. after an extra volleyball practice, while I edited a vlog standing on it.
And I’m not the only one using HQ now
Two more members started using Picky Girl HQ this week, and they both picked it as their focus for the week. Here’s what they said in the threads:
One of them said she honestly doesn’t want to track forever, and she loves that HQ keeps her on protein and quietly logs the calories so she doesn’t get obsessive. The other said she’s already used it three days in a row because it’s just that easy.
If you’ve been reading these roundups and wondering what everyone keeps talking about, this is it. Yearly Girl Code Daily members get Picky Girl HQ included. Once your yearly payment goes through, it’s in your perks and you can start today. You get this room every single day, and you get the thing that does the thinking on the nights you can’t.
Why join Girl Code Daily?
The holidays are coming either way. It’s a lot easier to walk into them with people.
Every day inside Girl Code Daily we do this together: the Sunday Weigh In, Monday Focus, the Wednesday Check In, Friday Wins, and a monthly challenge. Two of these are from the last week, including the holiday plan I made for all of us. The third one is from July, and it explains exactly why the hard nights feel so hard.
Every Saturday, members also get a new printable. And yearly members get Picky Girl HQ included, right in their perks.
I’m 75 pounds down with more to go, and I’m figuring this out in real time with the people in this roundup. Come read what they said.
